The track should extend 6-8 inches (15-20cm) beyond each side of the window to allow the curtains to draw well back off the glass. Measure the track not the windows. (A)
Measure the drop, from the top of the track to where the curtains are to finish (i.e. sill length or floor length). The track should be hidden when the curtains are closed. (B)

what do the measurements quoted on our curtains mean?
Example: 64 inches width * 108 inches drop
- 64 inches width is the gathered measurement of one curtain
- 108 inches is the total drop of the curtain
(a) is the gathered width of one curtain. Therefore the pair would fit track/pole of 2*64 = 128 inches (this allows for twice fullness)
bay window
measure 1/2 width of track/pole. If track has an overlap arm, include arm measurement. (a)
measure from top track/pole to required position (i.e. floor or sill). Add extra for sitting on floor if required. (b)
